PUBLIC HEARING

The Town Council of the Town of Fowler met in the Town Hall, Fowler, Indiana, on the 21st day of May 2007 at the hour of 4:30 P.M., for a PUBLIC HEARING pursuant to call in accordance with the rules of the Council. The meeting was called to order by Steve Rettig, who presided.

            Edwin Buswell, Director of K-IRPC, was present to hold a hearing on the Moses Fowler Community Pool grant. There were many people in attendance in favor of having the pool renovated. No one present was against the updates. The public hearing was adjourned.

 

MEETING

            The Town Council of the Town of Fowler met in the Town Hall, Fowler, Indiana, on the 21st day of May 2007 at the hour of 4:30 P.M., for a regular meeting pursuant to call in accordance with the rules of the Council. The meeting was called to order by Steve Rettig, who presided. On call of the roll the members of the Council were shown to be present or absent as follows:

PRESENT: Patrick Claire, Nicholas Finley, Gerald Parker, Thomas Sarault,

Stephen Rettig and Town Attorney, Pat Ryan

ABSENT: NONE

Pat Claire motioned to accept the minutes as reviewed and Gerry Parker seconded the motion. The motion passed.

            Bill Burton, Fire Chief, stated that the fire department will be holding a blood drive Saturday, June 16th. The Survivors of Police will be holding this drive and guarantees that the blood will stay in this area and not be shipped to a metropolitan area.

            There will be no removal of the STOP signs at Main Street.

            Gerry Parker motioned to have the Hession building demolished now due to the safety factor. Dwenger Excavating has presented an estimate and an indemnity agreement will be provided to the contractor. Tom Sarault seconded the motion. The motion passed. The first unsafe building public hearing was May 31, 2006.

            Summer sprinkling will be resumed for June, July and August this year. There will be an assigned rate of two units over the average to establish the residential rate. There will be NO sign up necessary.

            A special meeting will be held this Friday for presentation and approval of the claims.

            There being no further business presented to the meeting, on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the meeting thereupon adjourned.

                                                                                                                       

SPECIAL MEETING - May 25, 2007

            An emergency special meeting was called to review and accept the claims. Nick Finley motioned to accept the claims and Tom Sarault seconded the motion. The claims and payroll register were approved.
